Dera Sacha Sauda is a Social Welfare & Spiritual Organization that preaches and practices humanitarianism and selfless services to others. His Holiness BeparawahMastana Ji Maharaj founded Dera Sacha Sauda on April 29th, 1948 to encourage spiritual awakening among the masses, to uplift humanity, and to create a better world. With devotion and hard work, Maharaj Ji transmuted the barren land of Sirsa into a spiritual garden and imparted the glorious method of meditation to HIS followers.
The slogan “DhanDhanSatguruTera Hi Asra,” which Dera’s devotees chant at the Ashram, elucidates the kindness of God Almighty as our saviour.
The present Master, revered Hazoor Pita “Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan” has been instrumental in leading the humanitarian endeavors. Presently, Dera has been undertaking 111 social welfare activities starting with helping in road accidents and extending to the protection of daughters from heinous fetal murder and solemnizing the marriages of harlots by inspiring them to quit this abhorrent profession.
Toady, there are millions of followers of Dera Sacha Sauda worldwide out of which Sadh Sangat England, UK are the special ones – named as Rokstar Kids by purpyaare papa ji. There was a time when Britishers ruled India. And today, followers of Dera Sacha Sauda are been praised by the Government and residents of UK.
In UK, there are over 100 followers of Dera Sacha Sauda, few residing here since many years and few who came to UK few years back. Before year 2007, there used to be naamcharcha conducted by only 3 to 4 premi in UK. That time, they even tried to donate blood but due to certain restrictions, they were unable to donate blood.
Then in 2007, with the blessings of pyaare papa ji, sadhsangat was able to donate blood for the very 1st time in the UK (Greenford, West London). At that time 17 units of blood was donated by sadhsangat England, UK. This was the 1st and the only sewa out of 111 welfare works carried out by Dera Sacha Sauda that was initiated in England, UK.
In 2008, NHSBT held a blood donation camp in Southall where merely 8 to 10 units of blood was donated. NHSBT requested Green S Sewadar to help Southall blood session for next time by getting more donors otherwise the session in that area will be closed for ever. Sadh sangat England, UK did full advertisement by diaplaying posters of next blood donation session and posting leaflets door to door to inform more and more people. Also, sadhsangat went in full force to donate blood in the next session. A total number of 49 units of blood was donated in that session. All the staff praised the efforts of Dera Sacha Sauda volunteers and thanked revered pita ji for such teachings. After that, Southall blood session went on growing with some times the blood donation units reaching 120 units in a session. NHSBT issued a Certificate of Thanks to Dera Sacha Sauda England Sangat for their support in saving lives by donating blood. So far in 9 years, Sadh Sangat England, UK have donated 1700 units of blood. Also, Dera Sacha Sauda currently holds a Guiness World Record of donating most number of Blood Units in 1 day – 43,732 units.
Sadh sangat was growing in numbers but we were not getting any other sewa apart from Blood donation as UK government is one of the strongest and wealthiest government in the world and were able to do things without any support.
Revered Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan (pyare papa ji) always encourages the society to undertake causes that are for the prosperity of humanity and nature. Papa ji then took another initiative to motivate people to plant trees. The idea behind this drive is to make the environment green and healthy so our upcoming generations can live a better life. We, sangat in England, UK did not get any opportunity between 2008 to 2014 to plant trees in an open public area as in other countries. Then sadhsangat decided to do tree planting in Gardens of residential houses as a step towards healthy and green environment. Sangat planted almost 200 trees in 2009 in London. Which then increased to 800 in 2013. Once again, Dera Sacha Sauda holds another World Record for planting most number of trees in 8 hours in multiple location simultaneously – 1,945,535 trees.
Dera Sacha Sauda supports and promotes cleanliness and hygiene in every possible way. With the motto “HoPrithviSaaf, Mite Rog Abhishaap”, “SafaaiMaha-Abhiyaan” was another initiative undertaken by our Revered Guru ji “Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan” with the intention of keeping our earth clean and free from all diseases. The 1st ever SafaaiAbhiyaan was held in Delhi, the capital of India on 22nd September 2011 which was cleaned in mere 2 days.
Taking the teachings of pita ji forward, England, UK became the 1st country to hold a SafaaiAbhiyaan on 15th August 2013. It was held in East Ham area of London city with the permission of British MP Stephen Timms who was very pleased to know about the activities undertaken by Dera Sacha Sauda which are for humanitarian purposes. MP Stephen Timms attended the 3rdSafaaiAbhiyaan in East Ham personally and thanked the volunteers and pita ji for their selfless efforts to keep the earth and the society clean.
After that Sangat England, UK offered their support to Redbridge Council for Cleaning Up the Ilford and dirty surrounding area. So far, sadhsangat England, UK have conducted 21SafaaiMahaAbhiyaans including cleaning of Streets, dirty Canal where residents complained about dirty smell and insects due to overgrown weeds and grass and dirty canal water. Cleaning several private alleyways where residents dumped huge pile of rubbish irresponsibly. In last SafaaiAbhiyaan, sangat gathered 11.5 tonnes garbage in just over 2 hours. This news was also published on front page of the local news paper – Ilford recorder on 16th July 2015.
In December 2014, volunteers of Shah Satnam Ji Green S Welfare Force England, extended their support to a voluntary organisation Woodlands Trust where the England sangat took part in their 1st mega tree plantation campaign. It was held at Langley vale, near Epsom, Surrey, UK on Saturday morning 13th December 2014. It turned out to be a very successful event with blessings of our revered Guru Ji, Teacher, God “Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan”.
Giant forest of millions of trees is to be planted in different parts of UK -one in each England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland up to 200,000 trees in each area- as a memorial to First World War victims. Shah Satnamji Green S welfare force members took this opportunity as a noble cause to help new generations enjoy high quality natural environment with an intention to improve people health & overall wellbeing.
A team of 27 volunteers all members of Shah Satnamji Green S welfare force took part in this event and shown a great enthusiasm and discipline. Camp started at 11:30 AM and finished at 2:30 PM, in 3 hours time, Green S team planted a total 1503 saplings without taking any break or rest. Local residents or people from other communities were taking rest in between the work and going out of the field to drink tea/coffee or eat. But Green S as it always works, 2-3 members took the responsibility to provide every other member the water bottles, tea coffee they need on the field without stopping the plantation work.
The cost of advertisement in UK is very high. Once sadhsangat England, UK requested papa ji to give a solution as to how should we reach out to the masses without spending much on advertisement. Pita ji said that England sangat doing a good job. Keep up doing the good deeds for humanity and your advertisement will be done freely. Thats what exactly happened where several clean up camp news were displayed in the local news paper Newham Recorder and Ilford Recoder. Ilford recorder once specially came to speak to volunteers of Shah Satnam Ji Green S Welfare force members to know why do we do the deeds for humanity and where do we get this superior teachings.
Then comes year 2015, a year which rewrote history with the release of pita ji’s 1st Bollywood Movie – MSG The Messenger based on true story of Dera Sacha Sauda playing an important part in eradicating all social evils from the society like Drugs, Alcohol, Prostitution and so on. Once again, with the love and grace of pyaare papa ji, England, UK become the first ever country to receive the Censor Clearance certificate from BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) in January 2015 (even before India)
Sadh sangat England, UK did full advertisement of the movid before the release in UK so all the masses can be made aware of. Rallies were conducted on streets of London in Oxford Circus, Regent Street, Piccadily circus, Leciester Square, Upton Park, O2 Arena and Harrow on the Hill. Over 50,000 leaflets were distributed in London, Manchester, Birmingham and Luton cities to promote the movie. Movie was released on 13th February with a bang in UK and lasted for about 5 weeks.
In April 2015, Dera Sacha Sauda UK has made another attempt to promote spirituality & message of humanity by participating in London Book fair 2015, 3 days event held at Olympia, West London. Where other people from different countries were busy in promoting/selling their products and looking for new business opportunities, Derasachasauda was the only organisation/booth promoting spirituality and selfless services for humanity.
Derasachasauda UK volunteers distributed free complementary books at this event and encourage people to have faith in the service of humanity and the One GOD.
A writer from Virginia J. MairyDietch requested to have a copy of all different books written by revered master Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh jiInsan and truly admired what Dera is doing in service of humanity. Nearby booth allies also shown interest in Dera’s literature and asked to give multiple copies for their family members.
In March 2015, Dera Sacha Sauda UK was nominated for the Redbridge Mayor’s Community Awards in the category of “Making Redbridge Greener”. On 9th March 2015 – the day of the awards night, Dera Sacha Sauda UK, with the blessings of pyaare papa ji, won the 1st prize for Making Redbridge Greener. We were awarded with a Trophy and Certificate by the Mayor of Redbridge “Lord Ashley Kissin”
Dera Sacha Sauda UK was awarded another Certificate of Thanks by Newham Council for holding a mass clean up camp in East Ham on 4th April 2015.
Dera Sacha Sauda, which is a confluence of all religions and welcomes people from every religion. We have also supported Shri RavidasGurdwara in Gravesend, Kent, England by painting the whole Gurdwara inside out and also cleaning several parts of the area of Gurdwara. The president of Gurdwara thanked pita ji and all the volunteers for their selfless sewa and granted every one with token of love. This clearly shows our love and respect to all religions. Also we have supported Watford Temple (ISCON) in London by planting potatoes and cabbage in 2 different occasions for them. The work which normally takes 1 week for the Watford Temple sewadars to do, Green S UK volunteers did that in mere 5 hours. This was appriciated by the Watford Temple Support person Mr. Keerti.
Dera Sacha Sauda UK, will always keep walking on the path of truth and spirituality taught by our revered Teacher / Guru / God – “Saint Dr. GurmeetRam Rahim Singh Ji Insan” will keep on doing these great deeds off humanity on a much bigger scale now and in the future.
